Business Development Manager of Clinical Research (Europe)

Neuro Event Labs is seeking a hands-on Business Development Manager of Clinical Research who combines scientific expertise with a modern, evidence-driven approach to industry collaboration.

You will be instrumental in leading strategic engagements with pharmaceutical, biotech and medical therapy device partners, driving revenue and developing the company’s research business. Your primary mission will be to drive the research strategy to utilize our technology by a large pipeline of anti-epileptic drugs and medical device solutions in epilepsy.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in clinical development, translational medicine, or medical affairs within the pharmaceutical industry—who is passionate about using data and science to drive decision-making and adoption.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the scientific strategy and validation roadmap for Nelli’s integration into clinical and translational research settings.
  • Identify and engage with evidence-focused stakeholders in pharmaceutical, biotech, medical devices and CRO sectors to explore opportunities for embedding the device in clinical trial protocols, outcomes research, or RWE studies.
  • Serve as the scientific liaison and thought partner, representing our vision and capabilities at conferences, advisory boards, and external scientific forums.
  • Lead and coordinate the design and execution of validation studies, including clinical trials and investigator-initiated studies, in collaboration with academic and industry partners.
  • Provide scientific input to inform regulatory strategy, clinical evidence development, and market access value propositions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, clinical, and commercial teams to align scientific workstreams with business priorities.
  • Drive the generation of high-quality scientific content—publications, white papers, and educational materials—that support adoption and credibility in regulated settings.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–5 years of direct B2B sales or business development experience, ideally in healthtech, medtech, digital health, or pharma.
  • Demonstrated success in prospecting and closing new accounts — this is critical.
  • Industry experience in pharmaceutical clinical development, medical affairs, or evidence generation, with a strong grasp of the current regulatory and scientific environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in clinical trial design, health outcomes research, or digital biomarker validation.
  • Comfortable working with internal and external stakeholders on data-driven, evidence-first engagements.
  • Familiarity with regulatory guidelines (e.g., GCP, MDR, FDA guidance for devices).
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build trust through science.

Preferred Experience

  • Prior experience in a startup, digital health, or medical device environment.
  • Experience in digital health integration into R&D or Real-World Evidence (RWE) frameworks.
  • Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals on relevant clinical or translational topics.
  • Understanding of the payer and HTA landscape for device and digital solutions.
